Netflix, which is purchased outright, is available in four price tiers; Basic with ads, Basic, Standard and Premium.
While the price of Netflix has since risen from £7.99 to £10.992019, and the Premium plan rose from £9.99 to £15.99 in the same period, inNovember 2022Netflix has unveiled its cheapest plan ever, Basic with ads, which costs just £4.99 a month.

When Basic with ads was introduced, Netflix also increased Basic plans from SD to 720p HD.
While Netflixthey no longer offer free trials, they work activelycancel inactive subscriptionswhere the customer has not logged in for at least 12 months to prevent people being charged for a service they no longer use.
Sky, Virgin Media, BT and TalkTalk also offer customers a choice of Netflix Basic, Standard and Premium plans, but each has a different way of accessing the higher plans.
Netflix on Sky
Sky is first including Netflix Basic for free in its Ultimate TV planlaunched in 2018, which costs £4 a month more than the basic Sky TV package.

Sky Stream allows users to upgrade their Netflix plan directly without having to download the full Ultra HD package. Upgrading to Netflix Standard costs £4 and Netflix Premium is £8 extra, which is generally in line with Netflix's own prices, although it's £1 cheaper for Premium.
While Netflix's HD and UHD upgrades have 31-day rolling contracts for both Sky Q and Sky Stream, it's worth being aware that Sky Ultimate TV and Sky Stream have minimum terms of 18 months, which essentially means that Netflix is also included in the basic package.
